CA Economy
The state of California desperately needs fiscal responsibility restored. The California legislature needs to stop enacting laws that are “private sector job killers”. Richard Faher believes that tax cuts for taxpayers and businesses in California will stimulate the California economy. To continue to expand the economy, California must once again have the best public schools. Control of schools has shifted from local school districts to a central system in Sacramento. Control of public schools must be returned to the local level. Read more.
Errors In Judgement
In the February 2009 budget agreement, the California Legislature passed a $12.8 billion dollar tax increase. They raised licensing fees, sales tax rates, and income tax rates. Read more.
Reform
California State Government has more than 300 boards and commissions, 11 agencies and 79 different departments. An entirely new organizational structure should be developed to meet the needs of a limited state government in the 21st century. Read more.
Water
Our current water issues can be traced back to 1998 when a $1.7 billion water management bond failed in the state senate for inclusion on the November 1998 ballot.
